Board member at Weplace, José Formigli, with over 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas sector, built his career at Petrobras, initially as an Offshore Oil Engineer assuming leadership roles shortly thereafter.
In 2008, he was invited to participate in the Pre-Salt Executive Management, dedicated to the planning, design and implementation of floating systems for production in the Santos Basin. Currently producing over 1.5 million barrels of oil per day, this program received the OTC Prize in 2015.
From 2012 to 2015, José assumed the position of Director of Exploration and Production. He was a member of the Gaspetro and IBP Boards.
Since 2015, he has led his company focused on the engineering segment, Forsea Engenharia, assisting its clients in strategic consumption, market trends assessment, technical consulting in petroleum engineering, evaluation of assets, brownfield and greenfield projects, optimization of operations and evaluation of technological configurations, among other matters.
An IME Civil Engineering graduate, José holds an MBA from UFRJ-COPPEAD and is the author of articles on Petroleum Engineering. Also, he has been a speaker at Brazilian and international conferences.
